Print the information for your patients to enhance understanding and health promotion. English AND Spanish
ACP's PIER is sponsored by the American College of Physicians, but is also useful for nurses and other clinical staff. 300 + modules are evidence-based and fully searchable.
Each module contain Patient Education guidance (usually section 7 or 8) while section 11 or 12 includes Patient Information web links to selected resources. Check the Contents on the left for the appropriate module and click on appropriate section. ENGLISH only

200+ health education brochures, sound recordings and downloadable audio files in 24 different languages. more...
A project of the Spencer S. Eccles Health Sciences Library and others funded by the Institute of Museum and Library Services and the National Network of Libraries of Medicine.
Formats: audio formats as well as pdf documents. Many of the materials are also available as sound recordings for downloading or immediate listening. Native speakers of the respective languages furnish the narrations, which are recorded, encoded, and linked to the project's Website for easy access.
The creation date of each brochure's content is indicated on its link, on the respective language's page. A date such as "04/2002" indicates "April, 2002".
The staff of the Eccles Library regularly update the Website.

More than 19,000 drugs are included. The search box in the middle of the page lets you search many resources simultaneously. A spellchecker is provided.
The portal covers drugs from the time they are entered into clinical trials (Clinicaltrials.gov) through their entry in the U.S. market place (Drugs@FDA). Many drugs in other countries are covered, but not as thoroughly as U.S. drugs. The PubMed link provides medical literature describing research, and TOXLINE provides toxicology literature. Resources such as MedlinePlus provide easy to read summaries of the uses and efficacy of a drug.
Search results include links to related drug information in MedlinePlus®, AIDSinfo®, Medline/PubMed®, LactMed, HSDB®, Dietary Supplements Labels Database, TOXLINE®, DailyMed®, ClinicalTrials.gov, PubChem, NIAID Anti-HIV/OI Database, ChemIDplus®, Drugs@FDA, DEA, and USA.gov .
